About Us
We are a family owned and operated travel business - call us and you will probably speak to one of the family as we all still actively work in the business.
We just love Disney and between us have visited Walt Disney World Florida or Disneyland Paris around 50 times. We used to spend hours searching through brochures (in the days before the internet !) trying to find the best deal.
Just over 3 years ago we started our own online travel agency - Your Oyster Travel. It was always our dream to operate a business focused on selling holidays to Walt Disney World Florida and Disneyland Paris and in October 2010 we launched Disney Dreams.
It has taken us 3 years to get to know the trade, put the right deals in place and most importantly build a service which ensures that our clients get the very best price for their dream holiday to Walt Disney World Florida or Disneyland Paris .

This is what makes us different to every other travel agent selling holidays to Walt Disney World Florida or Disneyland Paris and is the reason why it has taken us over 3 years to put our business together.
Most high street travel agents are owned by one or another of the major tour operators so if you visit one of these you will almost certainly be sold a holiday operated by the travel agents own tour operator - this may not be the best deal to your preferred resort. As an independent travel agent we have no such ties and will search the market to find the best possible deal.
But we realised that we also have to compete against all other internet agents and operators and that was where it became really challenging for us. Most of the major tour operators offer discounts for booking with them directly online. They can afford to because they do not have to pay any travel agent commission for such bookings. Sometimes the amount of discount that a tour operator gives for a direct online booking is greater than the commission paid to a travel agent - making it impossible for the agent to compete.
So we have established our business in a way which enables us to also act as an affiliate for online tour operators and agents. The following explains more about what acting as an agent or affiliate really means to you.
When acting as your agent we handle all of the booking administration on your behalf and any payments made by you are made to us (see later about financial protection) pending onward transmission to the tour operator. We always discount the price of the holiday
When acting as an affiliate we simply provide a link from our website to the tour operators own website enabling clients to book directly with the operator. All payments are made directly to the tour operator. If you do book directly with the operator we receive a small commission for providing the link.
Because the commissions payable when acting as an affiliate are small very few travel companies choose to operate this way. However it is by being able to act as both agent and affiliate that we are able to confidently guarantee that we will find the lowest possible price for your Disney Dreams holiday.
Whilst price is obviously an important consideration when choosing how / where to book your holiday we also think that service is important and we provide a real added value service at no extra cost to clients.
Firstly we recognise that some people would like the price advantage that booking online can sometimes give but feel nervous about making the booking themselves. If the lowest cost option would be to book directly with a tour operator we will make all of the booking arrangements on your behalf providing the professional services of a travel agent at no extra cost - and we do not think that anyone else offers to do this.
Because we have been to Walt Disney World Florida and Disneyland Paris so many times ourselves we can answer any questions that you might have before booking based on our own experiences, if we can’t answer the question we will know where to find the answer.
If you call us we will search the market for you and offer the best possible deal whether that be acting as a travel agent or as an affiliate. We will tell you in what capacity we are acting in advance, providing a written quotation by e-mail.
We will complete all of the booking arrangements on your behalf and will provide receipts and confirmations from the tour operator concerned.
If we act as your agent or make the arrangements on your behalf as an affiliate we will have access to your booking details and therefore will be able to provide any assistance required after you have booked. Please note that if you follow a link from our website and then make the booking arrangements yourself on the operators website we will not be able to access your booking details and therefore be able to offer any assistance post booking.
We provide a personal service treating every holiday as if we were booking our own. Whilst we work with preferred operators there is no ‘rule’ which dictates which particular operator will be able to offer the best deal for your particular arrangements. So we search every operator every time. This can take us 1 - 2 hours for each quote.

Are bookings financially protected ?
We think that this is very important so the straight answer is yes !
If we are acting as your agent we act on behalf of The Global Travel Group. All of the tour operators that we work with are members of ABTA and also offer full ATOL protection.
Any payments made to us do not touch our own bank account. Payments go directly into The Global Travel Group’s Client account. This serves as a trust account, which is not considered as an asset of our business nor The Global Travel Group, pending payment to the operator concerned.
ATOL protection is the scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority which ensures that clients are fully financially protected in the event of airline failure. For more about ATOL click here to visit the CAA website
If we act as an affiliate the financial protection afforded to each booking will be dictated by each operators own terms and conditions. It is important that you check the details of the protection offered and are comfortable with that protection. If you have any questions or concerns please ask us.

If you are really independent you can use our Independent Travel page to search for the lowest cost flights or the lowest cost provider of your preferred accommodation and book just a flight or just a hotel direct.
Given that our dream was to start this business because of our own experiences in trying to find the best deal for our own holidays here is how our service has been designed to be used - here is how we would use it as a client.
Firstly we would do our own research using the search facilities and other information provided on the site to find a hotel or a small selection of hotels that are of interest. We would use the search facilities to find the best available price for our preferred travel dates - remember that a bit of flexibility on dates can save a lot of money. We guarantee that you will not pay more than that price but we would then call us to see if we can find you a better deal either by discounting from our commission or by acting as affiliate for those online operators who do not contribute data to our search engines.

Getting the most for your money
If you book with us we will send you some top money saving and time saving tips for whilst you are in Orlando.
But here is one very important consideration before you book, when comparing prices.
“ It is not what you spend to go on holiday that is important but how much you have spent when you get back !”
This is perhaps more true for Orlando than any other holiday destination. If you do not put a little thought in advance into what you are going to do whilst in Orlando you can easily spend as much whilst you are there as you did getting there !. The two main items of expenditure whilst in Orlando are attraction tickets and food.
Attraction Tickets - we sell tickets to all of the major Orlando attractions ourselves and at greatly discounted prices to the ‘on the gate’ prices that you would pay when there. However many of our tour operator partners offer even bigger discounts than we can as an incentive to book your package holiday with them. If you are going to be visiting the theme parks whilst in Orlando (and 80% of visitors there do !) ask us to find you the cheapest package INCLUDING whichever attraction tickets you are interested in.
Food - Eating out in Orlando is great value but we have a couple of tips to help you even more.
While you may think that staying in a Disney on site hotel is beyond your budget think about it with food included. Walt Disney World Florida often promote free Disney Dining Plan for guests staying at a Disney Resort. This can save £00’s on your holiday spending money and makes staying in a Disney Resort Hotel very affordable.
If the free Disney Dining Plan promotion is not available at the time of your booking you can still purchase the plan - great value if you intend spending most of your time in Disney Theme Parks .
There is so much choice today when it comes to booking a holiday that all operators and agents produce ‘headline’ offers to tempt you - we admit we even do that ourselves on our home page !.
But sometimes the ‘headline offer’ can be very restricted eg it could be a very attractive adult price but with little discount then given for children sharing the room.
